Las ventajas establecidas en la presente ley en materia industrial, portuaria, biodiverso y turístico, se extenderán a los municipios que formen parte del Área Metropolitana del Distrito de Buenaventura, en el evento que estos decidan incorporar su territorio al del distrito, acogiéndose al régimen de aquella. Tales beneficios comenzarán a operar a partir del momento en que se protocolice tal adhesión, de conformidad con la ley.
