Cuando el período de prueba se pacte por un plazo menor al de los límites máximos expresados, las partes pueden prorrogarlo antes de vencerse el período inicialmente estipulado, sin que el tiempo total de la prueba pueda exceder dichos límites. (Modificado por el Art. 8 de la Ley 50 de 1990
