Estás Comisiones, además de las que le señale el Gobierno, tendrán las siguientes funciones: atender y recetar gratuitamente a los colonos que lo necesiten, parlo cual visitarán por lo menos una vez al mes las distintas secciones del territorio que se les encomienda; organizar y llevar a cabo las campañas contra las endemias y epidemias predominantes en la región, especialmente contra el paludismo, anemia tropical, pian y viruelas, para lo cual el Gobierno suministrará las drogas y demás elementos que sean necesarios.
