La acción disciplinaria prescribirá en cinco años, contados desde el día en que se cometió el último acto constitutivo de la falta. La iniciación del proceso interrumpe la prescripción. La existencia de un proceso penal sobre los mismos hechos no da lugar a suspensión del trámite disciplinario.
