Ejerce la prostitución la persona que trafica habitualmente con su cuerpo, para satisfacción erótica de otras varias, con el fin de asegurar, completar o mejorar la propia subsistencia o la de otro. El Estado utilizará los medios de protección social a su alcance para prevenir la prostitución y para facilitar la rehabilitación de la persona prostituida.
