El Comité Científico. El Invemar tendrá un Comité Científico encargado de velar por la pertinencia y calidad científica y técnica de los planes y programas del Instituto y de la coherencia de estas actividades con las necesidades del Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible y demás entidades del Sistema Nacional Ambiental, del Sistema de Investigación Ambiental y del Sistema de Información Ambiental. La constitución del Comité Científico se deberá establecer en los correspondientes estatutos.
