Para efectos de prestaciones sociales, los grados de General y Teniente General conferidos por el Gobierno con anterioridad al año de 1953, corresponden al de General previsto en la ley 126 de 1959, siendo entendido que esta disposición no da a los beneficiarios derecho a reclamar ninguna suma por concepto de la diferencia entre las asignaciones por ellos recibidas hasta el primero (1°) de febrero de 1968, fecha de vigencia del Decreto 188 del mismo año.
