El área de la licencia especial para explorar y explotar minerales dentro de una zona minera indígena, será delimitada por el Ministerio de Minas y Energía y tendrá una extensión que no exceda lo previsto en los artículos 27, 28, 29 y 30 del Código de Minas, y una duración de diez (10) años prorrogable indefinidamente por períodos iguales. Esta licencia no será transferible en ningún caso.
