Art. 40. Los edictos se fijarán el mismo día de decretada la división, en la cabecera del Circuito, y permanecerán fijados sesenta días; y en uno y otro caso, se anotarán las fechas de fijación y desfijación. El Juez ó Jueces comisionados para la fijación de los edictos en Distritos lejanos, tienen el deber de mandarlos fijar el mismo día de recibirlos, y devolverlos de oficio el mismo día en que expire el término de fijación, para que se unan al expediente.
