Código de Identificación. La Superintendencia de Vigilancia y Seguridad Privada, por intermedio de la Dirección de Registro e identificación, asignará un código de identificación al servicio de vigilancia y seguridad privada que utilice caninos y uno a cada perro. Para tal efecto la Superintendencia emitirá las instrucciones pertinentes.

Parágrafo

En el evento de que existan servicios con medios caninos autorizados y que con anterioridad al 30 de octubre de 2001 (entrada en vigencia del Decreto 2187 de 2001), hayan adoptado un registro interno y un tatuaje de los caninos, previa solicitud, la Superintendencia de Vigilancia y Seguridad Privada podrá avalar dicho registro y tatuaje.
