Artículo décimooctavo. El Secretario General tendrá a su cargo el adelantamiento y la coordinación de todas las actividades tanto del Centro como del Seminario. En particular, serán: funciones del Secretario las siguientes: llevar la correspondencia; redactar y certificar las actas; autorizar con su firma los Acuerdos y Resoluciones; desempeñar la Secretaria del Consejo; cuidar los libros y archivos del Centro y del Seminario, y expedir copias, auténticas de ellos; forman y conservar un catálogo colectivo, de los fondos filológicos existentes en las Bibliotecas de Bogotá, y contribuir, en general, a la buena marcha académica y administrativa del Centro.
