Muros de retención . Todo tanque o grupo de tanques que contengan productos de petróleo, deberán estar rodeados por un muro de retención impermeabilizado. Este deberá construirse en concreto, tierra apisonada e impermeabilizada u otro material adecuado. La altura mínima de dicho muro será de sesenta (60) cm y la máxima será de dos (2) metros. Estos muros podrán protegerse con grama o pastos de poco crecimiento. (Decreto 283 de 1990, artículo 20)
