Para ejercer el cargo de Juez de Prensa y Orden Publico el nombrado debe acreditar que es abogado graduado, y que reúne, además, todos los requisitos que la ley señala para los Magistrados de Tribunal Superior de Distrito Judicial, lo cual deberá comprobarse ante la Corte Suprema de Justicia.

No podrán ser elegidos jueces de Prensa y Orden Publico los miembros de las Cámaras Legislativas.
