º. Categorías en la Carrera Diplomática y Consular. Son categorías del escalafón de la Carrera Diplomática y Consular las siguientes

a)

Embajador;

b)

Ministro Plenipotenciario;

c)

Ministro Consejero;

d)

Consejero;

e)

Primer Secretario;

f)

Segundo Secretario;

g)

Tercer Secretario.

Parágrafo

Cuando los cargos de libre nombramiento y remoción estén ocupados por funcionarios de Carrera Diplomática y Consular, los cargos no pierden el carácter de libre nombramiento y remoción, ni el funcionario sus derechos de carrera.
