Dirigirá La Formación De Una Sección Especial De Libros O Documentos Que, Por Su Escasez, Rareza O Valor Extraordinario Histórico O Político, Científico O Artístico, Puedan Llamarse Únicos, Oyendo Para Ello El Dictamen De La Academia De Historia Y Dando Cuenta Al Gobierno

Dirigirá la formación de una sección especial de libros o documentos que, por su escasez, rareza o valor extraordinario histórico o político, científico o artístico, puedan llamarse únicos, oyendo para ello el dictamen de la Academia de Historia y dando cuenta al Gobierno. Deberá dirigir la selección y cuidadosa metódica de todos los mapas y cartas geográficas que existan en la Biblioteca. Estas cartas y mapas serán catalogados bajo la denominación de Mapoteca Colombia, procediéndose como dispone el artículo 22 de la Ley 47 de 1920.

Parágrafo

Conservará en la caja metálica los incunables y demás libros y manuscritos importantes que forman el tesoro de la Biblioteca. CAPITULO IV Funciones del Oficial Mayor.
