Laboratorios de Calibración Industrial. En los procesos industriales y comerciales no sometidos a reglamento técnico o medida metrológica legal, diferentes a la de verificación por el titular del instrumento, se podrán realizar calibraciones por laboratorios de calibración industrial no acreditados, siempre y cuando el laboratorio que preste el servicio utilice métodos de calibración reconocidos internacionalmente o por la industria local y sus equipos se encuentren calibrados por laboratorios de calibración acreditados y sus mediciones tengan trazabilidad a los patrones internacionales de medida.

Los laboratorios de calibración industrial podrán hacer parte de la Red Colombiana de Metrología.
