Desistimiento o retiro de la petición. Los interesados podrán desistir, expresamente y en cualquier tiempo, de sus peticiones, antes de que se adopte la decisión definitiva, pero el Instituto Nacional de Medicina Legal y Ciencias Forenses, podrá continuar, de oficio, la actuación, si la consideran necesaria para el interés público. En tal caso, se expedirá resolución motivada.
