- INSCRIPCION DE CANDIDATOS. Podrá inscribirse como candidato cualquier ciudadano que cumpla los requisitos constitucionales y legales para ello, de conformidad con lo establecido en las normas electorales generales, a excepción del mandatario que ha renunciado o al que le ha sido revocado el mandato. La inscripción del candidato deberá hacerse ante el correspondiente Registrador del Estado Civil, por lo menos veinte días antes de la fecha de votación (Ley 134 de 1994, art. 71).
