º . Período y ejercicio fiscal . El año o período fis cal comienza el 1º de enero y termina el 31 de diciembre de cada año, lapso durante el cual puede afectarse el presupuesto. El ejercicio fiscal se prolongará, hasta el 28 de febrero siguiente, con el objeto de consolidar los registros contables y cerrar la cuenta general del presupuesto y del tesoro.
