º. Creación. Créase una entidad descentralizada del orden nacional, vinculada al Ministerio de Minas y Energía con el carácter de Empresa Industrial y Comercial del Estado, con personería jurídica, autonomía administrativa, financiera y patrimonial, que se denominará Empresa Colombiana de Gas y podrá usar la sigla Ecogas, entidad que se regirá por lo establecido en la presente ley, por los estatutos que adopte y apruebe la Junta Directiva y sujeta a la regulación, vigilancia y control de las autoridades competentes.
