La Nación se asocia a la conmemoración del bicentenario del Municipio de Amagá en el Departamento de Antioquia, honra la memoria del oidor Mon y Velarde quien ordenó su fundación y rinde tributo de admiración a las virtudes cívicas, a la capacidad y espíritu de superación de sus moradores y dirigentes, y a la vez destaca el papel preponderante que tiene ese municipio en el desarrollo de la industria carbonífera y futura carboquímica del Departamento de Antioquia.
