La Sección de Laboratorio Criminalístico tendrá a su cargo

Asesorar en la organización funcionamiento y técnicas de los laboratorios a las Seccionales de Policía Judicial.

Realizar los estudios periciales y análisis de elementos y sustancias relacionadas con su especialidad y rendir los informes correspondientes a requerimiento de la autoridad competente.

Prestar el apoyo técnico que le sea solicitado por las Secciones de Policía Judicial de las otras Divisiones.
