El perito identificará la mercancía por su naturaleza, características, estado, cantidad, peso, volumen, medida, origen nacional o extranjero y la avaluará por su precio comercial en el país, dando cuenta y razón de su dictamen. Si fuere imposible aprehender la mercancía, el perito dictaminará con base en los elementos de juicio aportados a la investigación.
