Las formas de retiro que conforme a este estatuto dan derecho a pensión, asignación de retiro o compensación, requieren previamente la formación de la hoja de servicios del actor, y para tal fin el Gobierno concederá un plazo de tres (3) meses, durante el cual el interesado disfruta de su renta, primas y demás prerrogativas de actividad en lo que hace a prestaciones, pero de hecho queda retirado del Ejército y sin derecho a usar el uniforme.
