Los deportistas, dirigentes, personal técnico, auxiliar, científico, y de Juzgamiento que violen normas deportivas, serán sancionados por el tribunal deportivo competente, previa investigación adelantada de oficio o a solicitud de parte. La acción disciplinaria se extingue por prescripción en un término de seis meses, contados a partir de la comisión del hecho.
