Art. 208. Las oficinas públicas tienen el deber de suministrar á los responsables, estén ó no en ejercicio del empleo, los documentos que necesiten para la comprobación de sus cuentas ó para contestar las glosas hechas por la oficina respectiva. El retardo causado por una oficina en el despacho de un documento se tendrá como prórroga del término señalado para la presentación de una cuenta, ó para la contestación de las glosas, según el caso.
