Los asuntos de mayor y menor cuantía y los que no versen sobre derechos patrimoniales, se sujetarán al procedimiento del proceso verbal de mayor y menor cuantía. Los asuntos de mínima cuantía se decidirán por el trámite del proceso verbal sumario, el cual se tramitará en forma oral y en una sola audiencia. Todo proceso declarativo que pueda ser conocido por las Superintendencias en ejercicio de funciones jurisdiccionales, se sujetará a lo establecido en este artículo.
