Denomínense "Uniones," "Ligas" o "Federaciones" de cooperativas, las asociaciones formadas por dos o más sociedades, con el objeto de facilitar las operaciones de las afiliadas o de sus socios, o de realizar más eficazmente los fines sociales de la cooperación.

Se aplicarán a las uniones y federaciones de cooperativas las disposiciones de la presente Ley, y gozaran de las mismas ventajas establecidas en ella para las cooperativas en particular.
