Se entiende por renta de trescientos pesos, para los efectos del artículo anterior, no solo la que se deriva del rendimiento de propiedades raíces o de capital a rédito, sino también la que proceda del fruto de ocupación lícita. El goce tanto de esta renta como del capital de mil pesos, se comprobarán con certificados del Tesorero Municipal respectivo, según el catastro y lista de contribuyentes, o en su defecto, con declaraciones de dos testigos hábiles.
