Centro de Reclusión . Son funciones del centro de reclusión, las siguientes

Ejecutar el fin fundamental de la pena en los aspectos preventivos y protectores para lograr la resocialización de los condenados.

Promover actividades de tratamiento penitenciario a través de la educación, instrucción, actividades culturales, recreativas y deportivas; de posibilidades de trabajo en procura de lograr la resocialización de los internos bajo su vigilancia.

Cumplir y hacer cumplir el Código Penitenciario y Carcelario.

Las demás que le determinen la ley y los reglamentos.
