Comisión Nacional Intersectorial de Aseguramiento de la Calidad de la Educación - CONACES. Tiene como funciones la coordinación y orientación del aseguramiento de la calidad de la educación superior, la evaluación del cumplimiento de los requisitos para la creación de instituciones de educación superior, su transformación y redefinición de sus programas académicos y demás funciones que le sean asignadas por el Gobierno Nacional. Lo anterior, sin prejuicio del ejercicio de las funciones propias de cada uno de sus miembros.
