De acuerdo con lo dispuesto en el artículo único de la Ley 13 de 1894 , señálase el río Cauca como límite Oriental de la Provincia de Arboleda. En consecuencia, el caserío del Zarzal y territorio del antiguo Municipio del mismo nombre, se agrega á la Provincia de Tuluá, cuyo límite Norte será el del Municipio del Zarzal.
