Las estaciones de radiodifusión sonora en Amplitud Modulada deberán ubicar sus estudios en el municipio o distrito para el cual se abre la licitación y se otorga la concesión del servicio, y los transmisores y sistema irradiante fuera del perímetro urbano, donde se compruebe que el servicio se presta en óptimas condiciones en dicho municipio o distrito.
