El artículo 27 de la Ley 71 de 1925 quedará así:

"Solamente son causales de recompensa":

"1° Muerte recibida en combate u otra acción de guerra o al desempeñar alguna función del servicio o a manos de enemigos armados contra la Patria o el Gobierno legítimo, y la muerte posterior causada por heridas recibidas y lesiones o enfermedades adquiridas en cualquiera de esos casos.

"2° Por acción distinguida de valor".
