Por el sólo hecho de su nombramiento, y no obstante que cumplen funciones públicas, los Directores no adquieren la calidad de funcionarios públicos, y sus inhabilidades e incompatibilidades son las más comunes aplicables a los directivos y administradores de instituciones financieras, de conformidad con el artículo 4°del Decreto reglamentario número 0400 de febrero 6 de 1986.
