ARTICULO 4.2.0.1.3 .- INSTITUCIONES QUE DEBEN INSCRIBIRSE. Para los efectos de la parte segunda del libro cuarto de este estatuto deberán inscribirse obligatoriamente en el Fondo de Garantías de Instituciones Financieras, previa calificación hecha por éste, las instituciones financieras distintas del Banco de la República, Inicialmente, y mientras la junta directiva del Fondo no determine otra cosa, podrán inscribirse en el mismo los establecimientos bancarios, las corporaciones financieras y las compañías de financiamiento comercial. La junta directiva establecerá los criterios, prioridades y plazos de afiliación de las demás instituciones.
