Las oficinas encargadas de expedir pasaportes, colaborarán con las autoridades competentes en las investigaciones que éstas adelanten. Para estos efectos dichas autoridades podrán consultar el archivo de reseñas de pasaportes del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores y el de las oficinas encargadas de su expedición, previa autorización escrita del Ministro, Viceministro o Secretario General, salvo orden judicial, para que en sus instalaciones, sin retirar los originales puedan efectuar los técnicos, grafológicos o las pruebas periciales que sean pertinentes.
