Art. 704. El que halle o descubra alguna cosa que por su naturaleza manifieste haber estado en dominio anterior, o que por sus señales o vestigios indique haber estado en tal dominio anterior deberá ponerla a disposición de su dueño si este fuere conocido.

Si el dueño de la cosa hallada o descubierta no fuere conocido o no pareciere, se reputará provisoriamente estar vacante o ser mostrenca la cosa.
