Todo libro editado e impreso en el país deberá llevar registrado el Número Standard de Identificación Internacional del Libro, (ISBN), otorgado por la Cámara Colombiana del Libro, sin el cual el editor no podrá invocar los beneficios de esta Ley. Y si hubiere recibido beneficio de los consagrados en esta Ley los reintegrará al Fondo de Cultura o el que se determine o a la Tesorería General de la República.

Toda publicación seriada debe llevar registrado el Número Internacional Normalizado para Publicaciones Seriadas, ISSN, otorgado por el CIDES, dependencia del ICFES.
