En esos días se izará a media asta el pabellón nacional en todos los edificios públicos del país, como manifestación de duelo por el holocausto de tan prestantísimos varones, primeros entre los fundadores de la Patria, y como homenaje de reconocimiento a su augusta memoria, que, con la de todos, los próceres de la Independencia, constituye el más poderoso e inquebrantable vínculo de la unidad, colombiana.
