De los órganos de dirección, administración y asesoría. Los órganos de dirección, administración y asesoría del Invemar, su composición, funciones, disposiciones para su convocatoria y funcionamiento serán determinados en sus estatutos.

El Director del Invemar deberá acreditar calidades científicas distinguidas y tener experiencia administrativa. La designación se hará para un período de tres años, contados a partir de enero de 1995, siendo reelegible y removible por la Junta Directiva en la forma que establezcan los estatutos.
