Modificar el artículo 53 del Decreto 1512 de 2000 el cual quedará así: Unidades Funcionales. Con el fin de atender las necesidades del servicio y cumplir con eficacia y eficiencia los objetivos, políticas y programas d la Policía Nacional, el Director General de la Policía Nacional de Colombia podrá crear y organizar, con carácter permanente o transitorio unidades, escuelas de policía, áreas funcionales y grupos de trabajo. En el acto de creación de estas, el Director General de la Policía Nacional de Colombia determinará sus tareas, responsabilidades y las demás disposiciones necesarias para su funcionamiento.
