Cuando propiamente no existan líneas divisorias dudosas entre dos o más Departamentos o entre un Departamento y una Intendencia o Comisaría, sino simplemente disputas sobre indebido ejercicio de jurisdicción, por parte de autoridades locales en determinada porción de uno o varios Municipios limítrofes, el Gobierno, una vez cerciorado de los hechos, deberá hacer respetar la autoridad de la Intendencia, Departamento o Comisaría lesionados, pudiendo dictar, al efecto, todas las providencias que estime necesarias.
