Para los efectos del artículo 16 de la Ley 0134 citada, las cooperativas deberán cerciorarse previamente de que los objetos entregados en prenda son de propiedad del socio o de la persona que quiera constituir la caución, o que dichas personas tienen derecho para darlos en prenda. A fin de no perjudicar a terceros. El incumplimiento de esta obligación dará lugar al máximo de la multa de que trata el ordinal c9 del artículo 7º de este Decreto.
