El objeto principal de la Comisión Nacional de Regalías es controlar y vigilar la correcta utilización de los recursos provenientes de regalías y compensaciones causadas por la explotación de recursos naturales no renovables de propiedad del Estado y la administración, distribución y asignación de los recursos del Fondo Nacional de Regalías.
