De conformidad con lo dispuesto en el Decreto 978 de 1976, el Director General de Tesorería determinará, conforme a las leyes y de acuerdo con las instrucciones que le imparta el Ministerio de Hacienda y Crédito Público, las entidades bancarias en que los Establecimientos Públicos Nacionales deban mantener las cuentas oficiales, e informará al Contralor General de la República para los efectos de la firma de cheques por parte de sus Auditores.
