El Gobierno Nacional, adicionará la planta de personal del Ministerio de Salud, adoptada mediante el Decreto 1759 de 1994, con los empleos de la Unidad Administrativa Especial de Campañas Directas contenidos en el Decreto 2318 de 1995, que sean necesarios para el cumplimiento de las nuevas funciones asignadas a la Subdirección de Ambiente y Salud, suprimiendo los demás a más tardar el 31 de diciembre de 1997.
