En todas las Penitenciarías y Cárceles de Distrito Judicial deberá existir una botica dotada de los elementos necesarios, con el fin de que allí se preparen las recetas y se suministren los medicamentos que sean del caso. En las demás cárceles, el oportuno despacho de toda prescripción médica debe garantizarse por medio de contratos con los farmacéuticos que haya en la localidad; y deben tenerse constantemente las drogas más urgentes e indispensables.
