º Por razones de soberanía, y con el objeto de preservar la integridad cultural y étnica de los isleños, la inmigración y asentamientos humanos al territorio de la Intendencia Especial solamente podrán hacerse con estricta sujeción a las normas sobre regulación y control consagradas en el presente decreto. Así mismo, con el fin anteriormente señalado, y en aras del interés público y la seguridad nacional, considerase zona de seguridad fronteriza para todos los efectos legales, el territorio del Archipiélago de San Andrés y Providencia.
