Artículo sexto. El otorgamiento de la condecoración "Orden del Mérito Penitenciario" se hará por Decreto ejecutivo, a propuesta del Ministerio de Justicia de acuerdo con los requisitos fijados en el presente estatuto y previa intervención del Consejo de la Condecoración, disposición que se publicará además en la Revista de Prisiones.
